Roger
It was 47 years ago last April, 2007, when Roger first picked up a pair of scissors and comb and began to learn the skillful art of hairdressing.
Under the watchful eye of his farther, Roger soon learnt the trade and developed quickly.
Roger’s first Barbers shop was in Birmingham for only £1 a week rent, as trade grew so did Roger’s skills, creating new styles and looks that captured the imagiation of the sixties youth.
The now famous ‘short back and sides’ became his trademark, word soon spread around Birmingham, ‘Rogers’ was the place to be.
Today
Today Shop is run by Chris Lloyd, Rogers Eldest son and has therefore been passed down to the 3rd generation. All 3 of Rogers sons, Chris, Matt & Dave have worked at the shop. From the age of 14, Chris started working at Rogers, after school and weekends. When Chris finished High School, he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps to be the 3rd generation of barber in the Lloyd family. Chris has grown from strength to strength, watching and learning the ways of his father. During the early 90′s the when ‘tramlines’ and ‘Nike’ logos were fashionable to have shaved in the back of your head, Chris was your man, Yes, it was his fault children across the county were banned from school until ‘that batman sign’ grew out of their hair. Still ‘hair today, gone tomorrow.Chris is a winner with the Kids who come from all over Worcester to have their hair cut, as early as one month old. Over the years those small tots come back again and again, growing up to love having their haircut. Rogers is now a part of their everyday life and they now bring their Children to the shop.
